For this project, I sought to represent the emotional process of buying a new pair of kicks. For me, getting a new pair of sneakers is a rebirth of sorts. You shed away what was once a part of your identity and has become dingy and ragged, and you step into a smoother, brighter you. I associated this transformation with the rebirth of nature in spring, using winter themes to represent the old, and the blooming flowers to represent the new.
Scene was created in Cinema 4D, fluids and particles with X-Particles and Realflow, rendered with Redshift and composed in After Effects.
